Attorneys, Garage Sales and Nameless Fish

Well, I went to meet with the attorneys on Monday. We were going to go over my deposition and what questions they were going to ask me in court. I went to the hotel (netrual ground) to meet the lawyers. I hung in the lobby for a bit and no one was there. After about 5 minutes or so I went to the front desk asked if they knew where they were. The lady at the desk said "You must be Mr. Cravatta?" I told her I was and she gave me message to call the attorney's office. I called and the lady on the other end told me that both sides had reached an agreement and had settled. Would have been nice if someone would have let me know. Another reason why I love attorneys (sarcasm). Anyhow, all this means I don't have to go to court and testify. But I am keeping my $25.

Garage Sale this weekend, at least Saturday morning. My goal is to be able to park a vechile in the garage by the end of the weekend. Think it will happen? I don't, but it is a goal - something to shoot for. I think we're going to have the sale at my parents (our old) house. Great location on a very busy street - great place to sell stuff.

We (Kathy) bought a beta fish. Our neighbor brought hers over for us to 'fish sit' and Kathy decided she wanted one. I think I'm gonna take a picture of it tomorrow and post it here on the blog. Then after seeing him, you guys can help us pick a name. Sort of a name the fish contest - except there's no prize - so it's not really a contest. Oooo - I know. The winner would get a gift certificate for a Filet-O-Fish Sandwich. I love irony. Name the fish, then eat one - how cool is that?

That's all I got - be thinking of name for the fish!

Isn't it amazing how much "stuff" you accumulate that you don't want anymore and then you try to sell it to other people who already have too much stuff so they sell their extra stuff (or try to) to others who have too much stuff (thinkin George Carlin here). Anyway, hope the sale is successful and you can at least get ONE CAR in the garage.

Oh, first entry for "Name the Fish contest"...Kathy's Clown!!! (Sorry, Ron, but that song just runs through my mind whenever I think of your wedding.) Or maybe, Oscar (the fish that died while Warren was trying to bring it home to the boys). XOXOXO GLDD

If you'd gotten a grouper fish you could call him "Dinner", but he'd probably get a complex. I had to look up on Google what a Beta fish is - very pretty.

Good luck with the sale...so who gets the parking spot in the garage? I'm betting Kathy...

I won a gold fish once and I named him Lunch, because I knew he wouldn't live past lunch, and I was right. Please don't name it Nemo. If it's a girl, it can be Bettty Beta, or a boy can be Bert Beta. okay, I'm done.

Oscar... may he rest in peace. I'd almost forgotten about Mom and I taking care of him while you all were in Belgium.. at least I think that's where you were. Hope the garage sale goes well.. I at least got home and collected my stuff before Mom decided to hold her own "rummage" sale...

Of course my opinion might change after I see it, but I'm suggesting naming it Alfie. Alfie Beta. Like "Aplha Beta" (for math lovers) or like "Alphabet" said with a thick Italian accent (for logophiles).

I don't remember a fish named Oscar - I don't think I would ever stand for that name. However, I do remember a fish named Gus. Now that was a good fish - kept to himself, very quite, low maintenance. Oscar? I don't think so.

Ry Ry - love the name Alfie and play on words. So far you've got the nod. I actually heard Kathy slip and call the fish 'Alfie' - I had to remind her that the 'contest' was not over and that it was a bit premature to start calling him that. But be looking for your coupon.

OMG...you're so right...it was Gus. And poor Gus bit the dust! (I think Oscar was a fish we buried in the toilet in Norwalk) I'm also casting my vote for "Alfie". Good idea, Ry! And....whenever any of you are sad or upset or whatever, you can just talk to the fish and say, "What's it all about, Alfie?" (: GLDD

I believe it's a boy fish. And the only reason I say that is because I heard that female beta's are white. Are is multi-colored - kinda the Heinz 57 of fish.

... well I have one his name is chief.. I say in memory of my first pet... and the fact that I'm in need of food so a Filet-o-fish would be quite tasty we name him Blue..yes the great fish that my MOMMY killed when changing his water..he's burried outside the callaway house in a rasin box ::sniffle sniffle:: I think she actually went out and bought another one to replace before I noticed anything.. cruel joke.. and holy carpe diem.. 12 comments (13 with me) this has to be a record or something.. If I was rich i'd jus give everyone the filet-o-fish for this fine achievement..

Kiel the fish that I killed while changing his water was not Blue it was Gus the goldfish that you won when you were 2 years old and a school carnival with my friend Kelly. Mom kept him alive the whole time we were in Europe. Grandpa J brought him down in his car from Iowa to Florida. Then I proceded to change his dirty water and the next morning we get up and his dead. I don't recall getting you another one, because we buried gus in a raisin box. "Blue was your betta and Kat had "Red" remember I think grandma rose got them for you. Sorry Kiel for correcting your memories Love ya lots Mom and you are not dead to us !!!!!We still love you!!!!

Well, Kathy, that name "Damn Fish" would kind of perpetuate a family tradition, wouldn't it? 'ceptin it's a fish and not a "Damn Cat". Gramma Aunt Grc would be proud!!!

BTW you'd better choose soon as this could become the longest blog in history!!! (Should we call Guiness?) It sure is fun, though.
P.S. Is the fish still alive?....Just wonderin (: GLDD

Mom you can't name a fish "damn" that only applies to cats!!! Which we will never have :( as Ron doesn't quite care for cats and Kiel is severly allergic to them. My next pet will be a Maltese sp? If it was up to Kat we would already have one but not yet. I am not ready.... Can't beleive we have
